The beads in Aquabeads products are not “expanding materials” as defined in the applicable mandatory toy safety standard EN71. A third party-board certified toxicologist reviewed the product’s ingredients and based on the available information concluded that the product is not considered to pose a risk of acute oral toxicity, eye irritation, skin irritation, corrosion, strong sensitization, or chronic toxicity when used under normal and reasonably foreseeable conditions of use. In addition, a bittering agent has been added to the beads to help prevent children from accidentally eating/swallowing them.
